Presentation Summary: This interactive training explores the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), evidence-based resilience factors, and resilience-based communication tools that adults can use to support positive youth development. (These tools can be used as you interact with both youth and adults)! Adolescence typically refers to the period of life between childhood and adulthood. While the exact age range can vary, it is generally considered to be from ages 10 to 19. This period is marked by significant physical, emotional, and psychological changes as individuals transition from childhood to adulthood. However, some definitions stretch this range to include young adulthood up to age 25, especially in terms of brain development and the continued maturation of social and emotional skills.
Speaker Bio: With over 30 years of nursing experience, Denise has had the privilege of caring for patients across a wide range of settings, including public health, home care, clinics, acute care, physical rehabilitation, and long-term care.
